Content Marketing Strategy Analysis (Assignment)
At the end of my Content Marketing course with George Brown College, I had to analyze the real content that had been published. I compared my expectations and goals I had laid out in my initial strategy, and compared them to the real engagements and statistics that the pieces actually achieved.
I appreciated this follow up assignment as it allowed me to reflect on what I had learned over the course of the semester, and to get in a good practice shot at how content marketing works in the real world. I was able to see what did and didn’t work, whether it was because of something I did, or just the nature of the subject matter and platforms that I chose to work with.
Leaving this class, I felt a much greater understanding and appreciation for content marketing, and this experience truly solidified my goal to become a professional content marketer.
